Woodman's COVID-19 Updates

3/13/2020: A Message From Woodman's:

As the current coronavirus disease COVID-19 is top of mind for all of us, Woodman’s wishes to extend our gratitude to each of the communities we are a part of and to all of our guests for their support and understanding as our team members have been and continue to work hard around the clock to best serve you.

This is a very unique, challenging and ever changing situation we are facing. First and foremost, the well-being of both our guests and our team members is of highest priority. We conduct around the clock cleaning procedures at all our stores and we also offer cleansing wipes for customers to use to wipe down carts prior to personal use. We are reminding all employees of the importance of good handwashing or use of alcohol-based sanitizers, to clean regularly used surfaces with disinfectant spray, to cover their coughs and sneezes with a tissue and to stay home if they are sick. We have also suspended all food sampling within our stores.

In addition, our locations are monitoring their stock levels and making ongoing decisions to allow them to continue providing our guests the product and the selection they are looking for. This may include closure of various store locations for a short time period during the overnight hours to allow the teams to focus on replenishment. Due to the ever-evolving situation, it is possible we may be unable to provide much notice on store closings. We encourage you to call your local store or check their specific social media page for further information.

Update 7/16/2020: Face Coverings Required:

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, keeping the health and safety of both our employees and customers top of mind, Woodman’s Food Markets will begin requiring a face covering (covering both mouth and nose) to shop in all of our stores. We have required the use of a face covering by our staff and all others performing work in our stores (vendors, merchandisers, etc.) since the beginning of April. Starting Monday, July 20th we will require face coverings for all of our customers while shopping at all Woodman’s locations. We ask our customers do their part as we work together to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Face masks are available for purchase at all of our locations. We understand there are situations in which certain customers are unable to medically tolerate a face mask and have trained staff to handle those situations. Children 5 and up are required to wear a mask unless local ordinances require otherwise. As an alternate to in-store shopping, Woodman’s also offers online shopping for pick-up and delivery. We thank you for your continued support.


Update 6/25/2020: Updated Return Policy:

Effective June 25, 2020, Woodman's has resumed accepting product returns for products purchased on or after June 15, 2020. For more information on Woodman's return policies, click here.


Update 6/15/2020: Updated Store Hours:

As of June 15, 2020, all Woodman's locations have resumed 24 hour operations.  Woodman's will continue to dedicate 6 - 8am on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings to those 60+ or defined by the CDC at high risk of COVID-19.  As COVID-19 continues to evolve, various store locations may find it necessary to temporarily close overnight for stocking or cleaning.  These closures may be short notice, and customers should call their local store for the most up to date information.


Update 4/23/2020:

WISCONSIN LOCATIONS ONLY: Wisconsin Safer At Home Order #28, taking effect Friday, April 24, 2020 at 8am, places a maximum capacity for guests in any retail establishment.  Pursuant to the order, Woodman's Food Markets will be implementing steps to ensure our Wisconsin stores are in compliance.  While most of our locations will not often reach capacity based on the guidelines in the order, there may be certain times where guests will be asked to wait in line outside the store during these times when capacity limits are reached.  Please be assured, social distancing standards are being met both inside and outside of the store.

As our teams continue to work hard to serve the communities we are a part of, we as that our customers and guests please do their part to follow safe shopping guidelines to ensure our teams and stores can remain safe for all.


Update 4/6/2020: Closed Easter Sunday:

All Woodman's locations will be closed on Easter Sunday, 4/12/2020.


Update 4/6/2020: Additional Senior Hours:

Woodman’s is now offering each Tuesday and Wednesday morning between 6am-8am at all locations for senior citizens 60+ and other individuals categorized by the CDC as more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus.


Update 3/26/2020: No Green Bags Permitted:

Effective starting Saturday 3/28/2020 Woodman's will no longer pack groceries in customer provided green/reusable bags until further notice.


Update 3/24/2020: Temporary Changes to Parcel Pick-Up Service:

Effective March 24, 2020, parcel pick-up employees are limited to placing groceries in trunk or back of vehicle only.


Update 3/19/2020: Senior Citizen Shopping Hours:

Woodman’s is offering each Wednesday morning between 6am-8am at all locations for senior citizens 60+ and other individuals categorized by the CDC as more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus. (Please see 4/6/2020 update.)


Update 3/19/2020: Temporary Return Policy:

Effective March 19, 2020 Woodman's has suspended all product returns until further notice.  This change is for the health and safety of our store teams and guests. (Please see 6/25/2020 update.)


Update 3/16/2020: Temporary Store Hours:

Effective March 16, 2020 all Woodman's locations will be open 7am to 10pm daily until further notice.  Guests will not be permitted to enter stores after 9:30pm.  This change in hours will allow for our employees to stock products to better serve our guests.  Liquor store hours will remain the same as of 3/16/2020.In addition to temporary store hours, select Woodman's stores have closed their lube centers (oil change services) until further notice.  Please contact your local store to verify if their lube center is open.
